1. Who we are
Trade Radar is operated by Business Support Services (India). We provide global market price and demand intelligence at sourcing.businesssupport.in. Contact: support@businesssupport.in
2. What data we collect
- Email address — when you sign in, to identify your account and enforce usage quotas.
- Search queries — products you analyze, stored server-side to improve our models and show you your search history.
- Usage counts — number of analyses you have run, to manage free-tier limits.
- GDPR consent record — timestamp and boolean flag stored when you accept our terms.
- Server logs — standard HTTP request logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint, response code) retained for 30 days for security and debugging.
We do not collect passwords, payment card numbers, or any financial account details.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the Trade Radar service and enforce free-tier usage limits.
- To improve our demand and pricing intelligence models using aggregated, anonymised search data.
- To contact you about service-related updates (not marketing, unless you opt in separately).
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area and UK, our legal basis for processing your email and search data is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you check the consent box on sign-in. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@businesssupport.in — we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies:
traderadar_user— stores your session (email, plan) in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to third parties.cookieConsent— records whether you accepted or declined our cookie notice.traderadar_history— stores your last 12 searches locally in your browser only.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics).
6. Third-party services
- Google Fonts — loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log your IP address per their Privacy Policy. We load fonts at page render; no user data is shared.
- Search volume data — we use aggregated, anonymised search trend data to estimate demand. No personally identifiable information is shared with this provider.
7. Data retention
We retain your account data (email, usage count, consent record) for as long as your account is active, or up to 2 years after your last analysis, whichever is sooner. Server logs are purged after 30 days. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR and applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

9. Security
Data is stored on a private server with access restricted by SSH key authentication. We use HTTPS (TLS) for all data in transit. We do not store passwords. We do not sell your data to any third party.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Continued use of Trade Radar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
